T20 Cricket World Cup Winners List

The idea of ICC T20 Cricket was first proposed in England by Stuart Robertson, the marketing manager of the ECB as they were trying to find out a fast-paced version of the boring (As termed by the younger generation of the nation) Test cricket to pull the crowd to the cricket stadium.

His Idea was voted the winner by county chairmen with a result of 11-7 in his favor. The younger generation responded positively to his idea even it did not take much time to win the hearts of the people outside ECB as well. The Caribbean were the first to join the party. By seeing this hugely increasing hype International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to have a World cup starting from 2007 in every two years except any ICC 50 Over World cup don’t fall at that year.
